Well, a few weeks ago, I entered this "Manga Shakespeare" competition that was held by the local University. It was to draw one of the 5 Shakespeare that they submitted: The Romeo and Juliet balcony scene (Romeo and Juliet); the murder of Julius Caesar (Julius Caesar); the transformation of Bottom (A midsummer's night dream); The changing of Rosalind and Celia (As you Like it); The Meeting of the 3 witches (Macbeth). Surprise, surprise, I chose the Balcony scene. I based the scene from the Meiji Restoration Era in Japan, since there was lot conflicting ideas (NOTE: I used a lot of source material from a certain red-headed assassin with a cross on his left cheek and his friends). Well, I really like the way the backgrounds turned out. In the end, I actually won it (the fruit of my labour for 5 weeks!). The prize was Magic Markers, the whole (current) collection of Manga Shakespeare and some magic marker pens. Next projects: Get working on KH+, redo CCR-T, start TWEWY fanfic and start national manga competition when the grand prize is 2 tickets to Japan! XD Yay!!!! Anyways, I think it turned out quite well... reviews?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
