Mew-Mew-Mari-Shinju

It's been at least a year since I have done a Journal update and I think this needs to be said. As is probably obvious, this account has run its course, and I won't be updating here anymore. This account will remain and may have a new link to my new DeviantART account if I set one up.
When I first started on DeviantART, I was going through my Weeaboo Phase and trying to find an identity for myself. There was more free time for me to draw art and this place seemed amazing. As more time passed, I got into University, grew out of that embarrassing phase and found out about Tumblr (as many artists seemed to have done). As such, this deviantArt account wasn't tended to and it now doesn't quite match who I am today.
With 2015 on the way, and having some free time over the holidays, I finally got the time to get around to this. I don't want to close this account down (not yet anyway), as there's still some people that like the art that's on this account. My new dA account will be similar to this one, be it posting fan art and the likes, just probably more tied into my Tumblr account. If anyone is interested in following my new account, I'm going to post a link in this journal when it's finished. Thank you to everyone that has helped me grow as a person and an artist. I am incredibly grateful for your support and I wish you all the best in 2015 and the rest of your lives.

Random News and ranting
To anyone whose reading this, congratulations for surviving another predicted (and failed) apocalypse! I mean really, what is the point of all these predictions if they're not gonna come true? Is it a government ploy to get all of society worked up? Well, moving onto more basic stuff, rather than a thought of the day; I'm back home for the holidays, and it's a full house with the close family all together...it's all pretty hectic, but at least I don't have to revise for any university exams (had them before I left for home). Hopefully, I can sneak off and get some art stuff done when I'm not needed anytime soon by the rest of my family.

Art News
I cannot believe that I have managed to produce one piece of art per month in this year! I feel is a huge achievement for me and that I began to try and open up my artistic boundaries, and next year I hope to stretch them even more.
I also went to see Rise of the Guardians, and I actually fell in love with the movie. Not just because of Jack Frost, (I admit, he's not a half-bad character), but the animation in it is beautiful (even though I think I noticed a couple of things the animators missed out and one minor plothole, but nothing that would seriously mess up the storyline too bad), the designs of both background and characters are amazing (the Tooth Fairy and her Baby Fairies are probably my favourites) and the music is just stellar (I really want to get the art book really badly). (Seriously, this film needs more love.) With that in mind, watch out for RotG fan art!

Okay, I'm quite happily situated at uni now. Be that as it may, I'm still worried and a little peeved. Like many students at Uni, I have exams in December...but it's not that I'm worried about. It's the expectations that everyone is casting on me. Everyone says that "Ooh, First year is a breeze" and all that palaver, but my first year isn't. It's quite intense, and it's kind of irritating! But moving on... as I mentioned earlier, I've got exams in December, which is just a couple of weeks away... which means I'm going under for the next couple of days until around the 13th. I'll still post art and gifts, but don't expect me to answer your comments. It's not that I don't love you guys, but priorities! I don't want resits next year because...well, nothing is sure for now, but I'm hoping to get some important news in December time.

Random News (and Art News I guess)
Well, I've moved into my new halls of residences at Glasgow...okay, scratch that, I moved in on Saturday. But, if you've ever been to a Fresher's Week, you should know that you have little to no time to do anything apart from party hard (and exhausting yourself physically, mentally and metaphorically). Nevertheless, I'm going to be pretty busy for the rest of the month, and I hope to get some things done soon but well... cut me some slack, I kind of want to just to get used to campus life. Moving from my hometown to probably the biggest city in Scotland and one of the biggest in the whole of the UK is a big step for me in life. I'm a good three hours from my family home in the North East of Scotland and while I do have friends and family close at hand, it's a new game here and a new set of rules. So, don't except anything new, but I'll be back! (I'm also half asleep, so if some of this doesn't make sense or is repeated, blame it on the lack of sleep)
